Voice Memo app. for Windows Phone 7

I was driving home from work yesterday and something popped into my head that I wanted to remember.  As I reached for my phone, I realized I wasn’t sure if I had a voice recorder application on it.

Searching the pre-installed applications, I didn’t see anything.  After I got home, I did a quick search in the marketplace, and nothing jumped out at me.

And then it dawned on me, I could use OneNote which is included in the Office application.  I created a new Note and titled it Voice Memos.  Then I held down on the tile and selected “pin to start”.

Now I have a Voice Memos application on my start screen.  Click on the tile, click in an open space on the note, and select the voice recorder icon.  Free and simple.

(I wanted to include some screenshots, but I think that requires a special build of the OS still so hopefully my instructions are good enough)
